Any website’s colors, fonts and logo.

Type an address and see the brand kit behind it: the logo file, the color codes and the typefaces. Handy for matching a brand, briefing a designer, or checking your own site.

Free tool · no sign-up

Free, no sign-up. Works on any public website.

This free brand kit extractor reads a website’s public page and stylesheets and returns its logo, its brand colors as hex codes, and the fonts its headings and body text are set in. It is the same reading Showfolk does when it builds an ad from your website.

How does it find the colors?

From two places. The logo is downloaded and its pixels are counted, leaving out white, near-white and mid greys, so what remains are the colors the brand chose. The page’s theme color, which sites set for the browser bar on phones, is added when there is one.

How does it find the fonts?

It reads the site’s stylesheets for the typefaces set on headings and on body text, and the families it loads from Google Fonts. Names from Adobe Fonts come back as designers know them, so “proxima-nova” reads as Proxima Nova. System fonts such as Helvetica and Arial are left out because they say nothing about the brand.

Why can it not read some websites?

Three reasons:

  • A bot wall. Some sites refuse anything that is not a person in a browser. The tool then reads the Internet Archive’s saved copy instead, and says so.
  • Everything drawn by scripts. A few sites send an empty page and build it in the browser, which leaves nothing to read from outside.
  • Colors set in images or scripts. When the brand color only appears in a photo, the logo is the best clue.

What can I do with a brand kit?

Keep every ad, post and flyer consistent: the same logo file, the same two or three colors, the same typefaces. Showfolk keeps yours on file and uses it in every ad it makes for you. Turn your website into an ad.

Questions

Is it free?
Yes, with no sign-up. There is a limit on how many sites one person can look up in an hour, to keep it fast for everyone.
Do you save the websites I look up?
No. A result is cached for a day so the same lookup is instant, and nothing is tied to you.
Can I use another brand’s colors and fonts?
Colors and font names are fine to look at and learn from. Logos belong to their owners, and many fonts need a license, so check before you use either in your own work.
Why are my colors slightly off?
They are averaged from the logo’s pixels, so shading and anti-aliasing can move them a little. Your brand guide, if you have one, is the final word.
